New AdventureQuest 3D Character Designs
After dozens and dozens of redesigns... the AQ3D team secretly figured out that what I REALLY wanted was 3D versions of our DragonFable characters. Thyton redrew the characters with unique sillohet and then added some DragonBall Z style muscles (full well knowing I am a huge fan of Goku and the idea of playing Thyton-ized Goku-esue character would pretty much make my decade.) Xero modeled the character pictured here and painted him in an anime style. We are all anxiously waiting to see how the first armor and weapon set will look... then we will put the weaponized character and a monster on a scene for you to check out. We made some technical changes to the character which will let us change the face (eyes, nose, mouth, expression), the head (maybe add other monsterous race heads like half-dragon, were-creature) and hopefully if it works, the shape of the face. The mouth was made movable to the character can talk... this has not been tested yet. Stop back tomorrow and we will talk about COMBAT! (And I can tell you about all the exploits that I have been killing Zhoom in PvP with...)
- Did you know AQ3D is using a 3D version of the DragonFable starting sword?
- AQ3D should run in both Flash and Unity when it is live -- and look the same on both of them.
- We are doing a mobile game making challenge this weekend... Warlic, Rolith, Cysero, Dage & I are going to try to complete a mobile game in 48 hours. (It will take 2 weeks for it to get on the app store though. It will be completely free and have a AQWorlds item that unlocks if you get it.)
- We are waiting on the Artists of Artix Entertainment sketchbook to finish printing... it features unseen art from many of our best artists.
