Getting fired up about Battle Gems?

While Yergen has been coloring and animating monsters like the Fire Elemental, I have been working on a monster and zone list. Our first mobile game will be 256 levels long. (Possibly even longer if everyone loves it as much as we do.) There is no strict rule on how many levels an area will be... but 16 seems like the magic number. The first zone, the tutorial zone, starts in you in a fantasy forest. It is tempting to throw giant hulking monsters at you for your fist few matches. I mean, who wants to fight level 1 rats? The newly redesigned forgzards look really dragon-like & epic... so I am leaning towards a Frogzard being your first fight. It is also a little nostalgic for AQ players. I always feel the first few battles of a game are the most important. Our goal this week (again) is to create the first area and work out the remaining bugs. Then, I would like to find my sense of humor. I lost it a few posts again... if you see my sense of cheesy, self depricating humor, please put it in the lost in found bin.
