It’s Friday, and this has been a full week for us on the AQ3D team. Llussion has been hard at work conceptualizing and coming up with some amazing designs (like the ones in my earlier posts). Xero has been quietly pounding away creating wicked monsters based on Thytons concepts. Zhoom, Minimal, and I have been deep in these dungeons, and we have a good concept finished. Thyton, on the other hand, has been busy creating these…

These are some amazing concepts for monsters that could appear at some point in this game. Imagine fighting some of these bad boys. How many of your friends do you think it would take to take one of these creatures down? I’ll tell you what, if I had my Yergen Sword of Yergen, I would take them down in a good chop or two.

You All Have Some Great Ideas

I was reading through some of your ideas and suggestions you all have. These are some good ideas! Riding around on a dragon sounds really cool. Better than having a dragon riding around on your back as you walk around. Minimal, and Zhoom are working hard to make the best game possible. Yergen out!

Master_Yi: Monster on top picture top right reminds me of a sandworm from Dune. What kinds of monsters? I would kinda like a future themed location where we can fight zealots and zerglings. I also think there should be an individual archers class and gunners class. Calling them "rangers" does not sound as appealing to me.

Master_Yi: Any reason why monster bottom right appears a bit like the Binsoku set? You should allow characters to choose their height, hair, eye color and maybe even eye style. There should be a super tank class who absorbs and blocks all damages for the team while they are resurrected by the person with revives. I wasn't exactly familiar with AQW's use of enhancements, but if you do use enhancements, I still think there should be stat points and possibly a reintroduction of the "super effective" elements.

I think that all pets should be able to deal damage as well, even without a pet based class, however, the pet based class will deal more damage witht the pet in order to cover the damage missing from the player attacking and the pet attacking, especially since pet based classes specialize with pets.

Random question, but is there any word on what kinds of classes we can expect? Or is this goingt o take a page from AQW's book and have classes be equippable? Maybe some new machanic?

Suggestion: If possible, make it so there are random events (example; village burning down, uprising, people fighting, etc). 3. I really want there to be unique idea's, not really same idea's as other games from AE. Otheriwse this game will probably be seen as a mix of other games from the past but just 3D

Ipkcle: Alright, for the undead up in the corner i would say one person. it seems like a weaker foe. for the worm thing i wouln't know, i dont know how big it is. the globular monster on the same page might reqire three to take down, it looks pretty tough. the horned creature on the bottom page looks nasty, mabe take 10 adventurers at once depending on it's size. the gigantic one roaring at the warrior, well... that would take down an army no sweat.

They are untamed goblins who run amok.They came about when a twisted sorcerer attacked a human city ,because he needed revenge, and the spell collided with a misfiring spell turning him and the city into goblins.

But as a single player games fan I would like to be able to kill all of those "Bad Guys" by myself. Fighting harder versions of them with friends is a great fun, but I would like to be able to do everything alone. It's just that I don't like games such as AQW in which I have to always find other players to help me and sometimes beg them to do so. It feels really bad when I have to do that. So I would really prefer that there would always be the option of fighting alone.

Ichirukar: Hey! Well, i know this is a bit late for an idea- wait, scratch that, its still alpha phase. So that means its a great time for ideas! Well, i read through these posts, and noticed that kiara asked if we should post some ideas, so, heres a cool one!

I read that people said riding around on a dragon would be cool, and i dont disagree, i mean, its cool and everything, but its been done before, think of WoW. So, i went into a little thought, then dracomancer popped into my head. In AQWorlds, when artix (or whoever posted the post) mentioned the dracomancer class, i was really excited! I would finally be able to run around as a dragon and stuff. But, as you know, that didnt exactly happen. so yeah, i was a bit dissapointed with that, but oh well, its WAAAAAY better than nothing.

So when that thought popped into my head, i put a little more thinkin' juice into it, and got this; Imagine that you had finished AQ3D, and its released and everything, you got over a million players cause your so awesome, and all that. you have your character, and your running around this village with beautiful scenery and all, then this monster appears and starts attacking the village! Maybe one of those zombie things, or some demented demon of doom. So, what do you do? You check your skill bar, obviously (i imagine this little skill bar at the bottom with class skills, racial skills and stuff like that, along with health and mana)! So, you scan your skills, seeing what would do best for the fight...

Then, your eyes pop to the right of the bar, with two highlighted red skills, your racial skills(skills that are different depending on your race/species)! One of thems this attack that does a bit of damage and applies a DoT, and another is a morph skill (i know you know what that skill is.)! This skill is that of the dracomancer race (i prefer to call them dracophytes, sounds unique.), and does what is.. well, obvious... It turns you into a dragon form! So you go 'Yay!' and hit that button. A flash of light emits from your character, some sparkles and glowey things float around you, a ROAR originates from your character and the lights fade, and you find youve become a dragon (colour custom, with custom horns, wings and stuff would be awesome)! So, you re-examine your skill bar and voila! You see this buff (called dragon form), and your skills are all now highlighted gold and stuff. each skill is different, a fire/ice blast (explosion and stuff), a fire/ice breath (applies DoT or freeze), and some buffs/de-buff skills, the last skill being 'exit dragon form', which is self explanatory. So, now your this awesome fire/ice-breathing dragon, time to save the village! Pouncing (or flying) to that monster, you use the fire/ice blast skill, which goes and damages the monster, then a fire/ice breath to do a nice DoT, and so on. When the monster is defeated, hooray!

After you defeat the monster, some time passes, and this buff on you suddenly dissapears, the flash of light appears again, and then dissapears, and.. your back to your old self! You saved the village in a load of awesome dragon-ness.

Well, thats what popped into my head, and.. yeah, that pretty much explains my idea. I hope you liked it, and it gets implemented into the game (if it did, your the best company ever and i will move to america (when i pass my exams and get grades 'n' stuff) just to work with you awesome-sauce-fueled-people).

P.P.S Also, the gold skill bar and stuff was just for an example of what i saw in my head, the only thing i would love to be in the game is the dracomancer (dracophyte) thing, similar to the one in AQ where you turn into a dragon, in the game.

Zokon: I have one more suggestion for you guys:

I have to agree with one of the comments on the post for suggestions, and I forgot to mention what they said.

Please. Please, make the game a lot less grind, and a lot more fun to battle. Right now, the only reason to play AQW is to login, find the coolest armor, do all the really boring quests for it, then buy the armor to show it off. That is really the only reason at least half of us get on AQW for. This is also the reason half of us stopped playing AQW.
Change this. Please.

At least make battling and quests more fun.
Example: I must find a sword that an npc needs. First I must find clues that will lead me to the sword. In AQW: I must kill 10 thieves to find clues. Or in AQW: I must click on the ground about 10 times in order to find clues.
Next in AQW: You are told of a bandit camp. You go there and fight, say, 20 bandits. You come back. Then you must go get the boss. The boss drops the sword and you return it.

What I think should happen in the new game: I must ask a few people and use my reputation or speech skills to figure out things that will lead me across the map in order to find the clues.
If you were a good guy, an example of this might be: You approach a city guard, and since you are very respectable in that town, you are trusted. The city guard asks you what you would need today. You say, "Yes sir, I have a friend that has lost a family sword. What might you know about it?" He tells you he saw a man leave town with a sword, and he left via the west gate. So, you go to the west gate and talk to the captain who is stationed there. You approach and ask about the man. The captain walks over to one of the guards and asks about it. He comes back to you and says: "He did ask the man about it, but he said it was a present from a friend. What does the lost one look like?" You show him a drawing. He shows it to the guard and then the captain tells you the man had the lost family sword.
Next:
He asks you if you need help finding him. You say you shouldn't need help, but if a few knights could come with you, you would feel safer. You walk down the path leading to the nearest town, but on your way you see a bandit camp. This is a decision that would change the quest: you could either call in the guards and have them take care of it or you could walk in. You walk in. They attack immediately and you are quickly surrounded. (If you would have called in the guard they would have finished the bandit camp easily.) You find yourself tied up in one of the tents, surrounded. (you soon realize there are more than you could have ever defeated.) They ask you what you wanted. You ask about the sword. They then tell you that they already made the delivery to one of the black markets. Here is another choice. You can give them a certain amount of gold or let them get ransom. If they get ransom, the nearest city will loose a little trust in you. You do one of the choices. Then, they let you go and tell you about the person who they sold it to. (But you must pay them again for the info. But you don't have to.)
Next:
You either got the info from the bandits or you went around to see if you could get information from other NPC's. You find the buyer. Choice: You can either fight him or talk to him, or pay him for a high amount. He gives up the sword in the end and apologizes for buying it from the black market. You return to the quest giver and return the sword.

As you can see, these are very different. The choices could be implemented and would make the quest personalized for you, if you were better at fighting than speech, or had a lot of gold. (sorry for making the post long, but I want to get this across to everyone)

AQW: The same, except you might fight good guys or something like that.

What it should be in AQ3D:
You hear about a stolen sword. You ask the man about it and make him offer a high bounty of gold with intimidation. You figure it will be sold at the black market you frequently visit close by, so you go there and ask around. You can't seem to find out who it is, but someone said they saw someone leave town with it. You stop by the guard outpost and ask a certain ebil moglin about it. (Hint. Hint) He says you either got to do something for him or give him money. You do one of the choices and he tells you he saw that guard (points) over there talk to the culprit. You sneak up to him and either bribe or intimidate him. He tells you where he saw him go. You go down the path and see the bandit camp. You go in unnoticed and ask the leader about it. He says they have it but they will only sell it for a high amount of money. You most likely don't have the gold, but you might if you are rich. You fight him, soon a few of his bodyguards join in. You can also use the dead bodyguards weapons in the fight. You take them out. He gives the sword. Profit.
(Sorry for saying money instead of gold)(Also these would not be the little quests. This would be a main or semi-main one.)
These are the quests the MMO world needs to have or at least aim for.

So, too sum it up I'm just trying to get a point across about how quests could be so fun, instead of worrying about the rewards and grind. Also, I'm not trying to insult AQW. I'm just giving some good ol' criticism to make the new game better. I hope you guys read this, and Thanks.

I thought and suggested of that, my words have finally been heard its an honor to have made this plan might i also suggest that you should allow us to have our own houses like in AQWorlds only in AQ3D the houses are 3D imagine it your own 3D house to call home with different hallways and stairs and stuff and all the cool house items you can make and equip not just house items and houses but the area you want your house to be in like if you want your house to be near a volcano or a forest or a sunset beach, now that equiped with a tiki hut house would feel so peaceful and the sizes of the houses you can make like you could make really huge castle houses with a throne room a garden, a stable and everything, and even better make your own house just like in the sims but the supplies and walls and floors are limited thats something you can do for AQ3D and when the packages for the game come you can spend your Adventurecoins to purchase extra expanstion in your house creating its sounds like much but these possibilities are endless

Zetralus: hmm i like the sound of having a dragon or you could honor the original aq and have a zard. it could be aq's chocabo! Also i think you should add a forum link to this page for suggestions or at least an email address for questions and suggestions kind of like what they do with heromart. I'd like to see a bit more concept art ratio on posts but that could just be me wanting to see more epic art to stare at for hours. i think it would be good to start making concepts for the known npcs and some new villains and such. I'm so ramped up about this game i even drew out what i'd like my character to look like already, anyway good luck to the team and keep us updated on how artix is doing!

Gold Wolf Hawk7: There should be a dual wield class and a Wolf Master class that goes back to the undead monster the undead wolf-master whose trained wolves followed him past death in Adventure Quest in this New 3D version even if theyre not im still stoked about this new game ive been waiting since i played aq worlds didnt like it as much as adventurequest though started playin 2007 and probably will till death of character.

Dovah' kin: I also made a suggestion about Ride able Dragons and im glad i wasn't the only one. Here are my thoughts on what mounts should be like on AQ3D. Pm me if u like the idea.
1.horse
2.Dire wolf (if u don't know what this is there from aqw in the darkovia storyline)

with the dragon make it an uprgrade only mount. Dire wolf could be a coins item.Wrym coukd be non mem for beetween 10k to 20k dollars just so a newer player couldn't go and get a cool mount right away. Horse this could be non mem costing around 5k so u still hav to work for it. Now about color custom mounts the dragon,wrym and dire wolf should be color custom not the horse i wouldn't like to see a pink horse running around. im not sure but the dragon would most likly cause lagging due to the size. Wrym's should hav sort of a snake head with customizable eye,claw,wing and body color just to make things unique. There should be a option in the mount store the u should be able to buy saddles and armor sets for your mount make these customizable after u buy them but only once. Make it that u can attack atop of your mount i hav played games were u couldn't and was a drag constantly getin on and off your mount but mix it up maybe your attacking ontop of your mount and then they breath fire causing DOT or rear and strike at them stunning your opponent.

The animals are called Tauntaun. The planet is called Hoth.

Master_Yi: I think there should be an Advanced Dragonslayers class. Dragonslayer in AQW D-slayer is inferior to all other classes and is easily overshadowed by the new Elemental Dracomancer, further lowering the pride of the majestic and valiant Dragonslayers. Sorry, Galanoth, but your class is no match against Desoloth, proven by your missing arm.

Slimman136: You should have a lava Area with lava lakes and lava gators that can only be killed with magic or range or the will have a burn effect on you if you use melee, and a lava knight that uses melee and magic. and others i cant think of anymore.

Oh and a armor that you van buy to stop or resist the burn effects so you could easily take them out with out being burned. =D looking forward to playing AQW3D!!!!

Argus Knight: May be too late to suggest some of these things, as they seem to be covered, but i'd like to put my own spin on things.

For classes i'd like to have a set class, but unlike aqw, or DF have more choice in skills. Like each class has set skills, and a focus point, but they aren't as rigid. Kinda like LOTRO or WOW.

Mounts. Have a minimum level to learn to ride, and then have different types you can earn through quests. anyone can ride a horse, but it takes training(a quest) to learn to ride a dragon.

Pets. I'd like to see two distinct kinds of pets. Companions, and Pets. Companions would be for your pet classes that use a pet of sorts, and pets would be your vanity pets that have no real gameplay advantage.

POH's I'd say make zoned instances of houses near major cities, where people can buy deeds to a house, and set up hooks or whatever you want to call them. for people to "equip" furniture to. And do the same for guilds.

Those are my wants for this new game.
